AFIT is not your ordinary university; it is a unique military-civilian institution that offers both academic and technical training. As an admissions consultant, I have facilitated the admission of several students to AFIT. As a unique institution, AFIT has some technical requirements for its candidates. This article will equip you with all the information you need about the admission process of AFIT in the 2026/2027 academic year.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the 2026 screening, you must meet the following:

Q: Is AFIT a military school?

  • It is a hybrid. It trains both military personnel (Air Force) and civilians. Civilians do not undergo military training but follow a disciplined dress code.

Q: Does AFIT accept a second choice?

  • No. You must make them your First Choice to be eligible for screening.

Q: Can I use two sittings for Medicine?

  • AFIT does not offer Medicine. For their Engineering and Science courses, two sittings are accepted.

Q: Is there a dress code for the screening?

  • Yes. As a military institution, avoid “indecent” dressing (e.g., ripped jeans, slippers). Dress “smart-casual” to avoid being turned back at the gate.
