UNIMED Cut Off Mark 2026/2027

If you are aiming for UNIMED for the 2026/2027 academic session, you are choosing a specialized institution located in Ondo City, Ondo State. Unlike conventional universities that offer everything from Theatre Arts to Engineering, UNIMED is strictly focused on Medical and Health Sciences. This focus makes admission highly competitive. Below are the admission stats for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.

UNIMED JAMB Cut Off Mark for All Courses

The school management has officially set the UNIMED JAMB cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 academic session at 150.

Important Reality Check:

  • The 150 Benchmark: This is the minimum score required to purchase the Post-UTME form. If you scored 150, you are eligible to register for screening for courses in the Faculty of Science, Basic Medical Sciences, and Allied Health Sciences.

  • The “Professional” Benchmark: Do not be deceived; a score of 150 will NOT get you into the top-tier clinical courses. For Medicine & Surgery, Nursing Science, and Dentistry, the competition is intense. You generally need a score of 230 to 250+ to stand a realistic chance on the merit list.

  • First Choice Policy: UNIMED is very strict. You MUST choose the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo as your First Choice in JAMB. If they are your Second Choice, the portal will reject your registration until you do a Change of Institution.

  • Medicine & Surgery / Dentistry:

    • Indigenes: ~₦1,500,000 – ₦2,000,000

Does UNIMED Write Post UTME Exams?

Yes.

Unlike some schools that have switched entirely to online grading, UNIMED typically conducts a Physical Post-UTME Screening Exercise.

  1. Registration: You register on the portal (unimed.edu.ng) and pay the screening fee (usually ₦2,000).

  2. The Screening: You will be invited to the campus in Ondo City. The screening often involves a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or a physical assessment of your credentials, depending on the year’s policy.

  3. Result: Your final admission score is determined by your JAMB score, O’Level grades, and your performance in this screening.

Important Admission Tips

  1. O-Level One Sitting: For Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing, UNIMED strongly prefers candidates with Five Credits in One Sitting. Two sittings may reduce your chances significantly compared to other candidates.

  2. Subject Combination: Ensure your JAMB subject combination is correct. For instance, Biomedical Engineering requires Mathematics, not Biology. Check the brochure carefully.

  3. Direct Entry: UNIMED accepts JUPEB and First Degree holders. Admission into 200 Level for Medicine is extremely competitive and requires a high point/grade (e.g., 13+ points in JUPEB).
