COOU Cut Off Mark 2026/2027
If you are aiming for Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University for the 2026/2027 academic session, you are choosing a state university that has rapidly gained respect in the South-East. Formerly known as Anambra State University (ANSU), COOU operates a unique Multi-Campus System (Uli Campus and Igbariam Campus). We are here to provide you with the official admission stats for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.
COOU JAMB Cut Off Mark for All Courses
The school management has made a public notice that the official and accepted COOU JAMB cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 academic session is 150.
Important Reality Check:
-
The 150 Benchmark: This is the general entry score. If you scored 150, you are eligible to purchase the Post-UTME form for most courses in Arts, Education, and Agriculture.
-
The “Professional” Benchmark: For the “Big 4” courses—Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, and Nursing—a score of 150 will NOT work. The management officially sets the cut-off for these courses at 200. You must score 200+ to even buy the form for these departments.
-
First Choice Policy: COOU is strict. You generally need to make them your First Choice to be considered for admission.
Does COOU Write Post UTME Exams?
Unlike UNIZIK or UNN, COOU typically does NOT conduct a physical Post-UTME examination.
Instead, they use an Internal Screening Method.
-
How it works: You register online and upload your JAMB Score and O’Level Result (WAEC/NECO).
-
The Grading: The admission unit calculates your average point based on your grades.
-
Implication: Your O-Level result is your secret weapon. If you have A1s and B2s in your WAEC, you have a higher chance of admission than someone with just Cs, even if their JAMB score is slightly higher.
