FUTMINNA Post UTME Form for 2026/2027 | Eligibility
FUTMINNA Post UTME Form for 2026/2027: Being an education consultant and having helped many students into the specialized world of technology and engineering, I can say that FUTMINNA is one of the most prestigious technical institutions in Nigeria.
Entry into the university is very competitive, particularly into the “Schools” of Engineering and Information Technology. Your pre-screening exercise, dubbed the University’s Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE), which is very critical to securing your place in the 2026/2027 academic session, should therefore be handled with absolute care.
What is FUTMINNA Post-UTME?
In FUTMINNA, Post UTME is officially termed as the University’s Pre-Admission Screening Exercise, or UPASE.
Why is it important? It acts as the link between your JAMB results and admission offer. This screening is conducted by FUTMINNA to check your results. Without registering for it, you will not be admitted to the school, despite your JAMB score being above 300.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the 2026/2027 screening, you must meet the following criteria: Selection of Institutions: You must have selected FUTMINNA as your First Choice.

- Medicine & Surgery: 240 – 250+
- Computer Science/Engineering:
- Nursing/Pharmacy
- Architecture: 200
O-Level Results: The candidate must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (which include English and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.

Screening Format (CBT or Online?)
FUTMINNA uses the Hybrid Screening System, usually.
- UTME Candidates: The university sometimes conducts a CBT on campus; in other years, the university has used an online-only screening of JAMB and O-Level results.
- DE Candidates: It usually entails uploading the results online, followed by a physical verification during clearance.
Note: Your screening type will be shown on the slip generated for you when the portal opens.
Required Documents for Registration
Have these items ready (scanned and clear) before you start:
-
JAMB Original Result Slip.
-
O-Level Result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
-
Recent Passport Photograph (clear, digital format).
-
Primary School Leaving Certificate.
-
Indigene Certificate/Local Government Identification.
4. Step-by-Step Registration Guide
Registration is conducted on the FUTMINNA e-Portal.
- Login: Click on the UPASE link. Input your JAMB Registration Number and any of your names.
- Generate RRR: The screening fee is often ₦2,000. Generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for this charge
- Payment: You may pay online through ATM cards or at any commercial bank.
- Result Upload: Input your O Level results. Include two sittings, if you have them.
- Course Verification: When your JAMB subjects do not include your desired course, the portal will require you to change to a course that your subjects can cover.
- Final Printout: Submit and print the UPASE Acknowledgment Slip.
Calculation of Aggregate Score
The weighted system often follows a set pattern like this: Higher grades in core subjects like Mathematics, English, and Physics/Biology are also given more weight in the final selection.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Wrong Combination of Subjects: Engineering courses require students to have taken Physics and Chemistry. If you used Geography instead of Physics in JAMB, then you cannot study Engineering in FUTMINNA.
- Neglect: Most candidates do not add their O-Level results on the CAPS portal at CBT centers. Without that being done, FUTMINNA cannot “propose” you for admission.
- Awaiting Result (AR) Errors: If you are registered with the option ‘awaiting result’, it is necessary that you log back in immediately and update your result.
Expert Admission Tips
- Monitor your JAMB CAPS: Your “Admission Status” will be displayed in your CAPS account after every screening.
- Change of Course: If your score is just below the cut-off point for your preferred course, like the highly competitive course of Cyber Security, you can consider a change to a less competitive course within the same field, like Physics.
- Accuracy is Key: During registration, make sure all the information you type in, particularly the grades entered, is accurate. If discrepancies between the information in the electronic registration and the information in the physical registration are found, you will automatically
