Official List of Courses Offered in University of Lagos (UNILAG) for 2026/2027

Official List of Courses Offered in the University of Lagos (UNILAG): Are you planning to study at the “University of First Choice and the Nation’s Pride”? If you have chosen UNILAG for the 2026/2027 academic session, you are targeting the most competitive university in Nigeria.

Located in Akoka, Yaba, UNILAG is not just famous for its lagoon view and high-energy campus life; it is known for rigorous academic standards. Unlike many universities that struggle with accreditation, almost every course in UNILAG is a “Hot Cake.”

NOTE: Before you browse the list, you must be aware of the massive changes UNILAG has made to its curriculum recently. If you rely on old blogs, you might apply for a course that no longer exists in its old form.

  1. Mass Communication Unbundled: UNILAG has phased out the single “Mass Communication” degree for new intakes. It is now a full Faculty of Communication and Media Studies with specialized degrees like Public Relations, Journalism, and Broadcasting.

  2. New Tech Faculty: UNILAG now has a Faculty of Computing & Informatics. You can now study Cybersecurity and Software Engineering as standalone degrees, not just under Computer Science.

  3. The “One Sitting” Rule: UNILAG is famous for its strict entry requirements. For almost all courses (especially Medicine, Law, and Engineering), UNILAG often demands 5 Credits in ONE Sitting. If you have two sittings (WAEC + NECO), you are at high risk of disqualification.
