Important Admission Secrets for 2026/2027

To secure admission into PLASU Bokkos, you need to navigate their specific requirements:

1. The “Plateau” Advantage

  • PLASU is owned by the Plateau State Government.

  • Indigenes: You get massive preference. If you are from Plateau (Birom, Angas, Tarok, Goemai, etc.), admission is easier for you.

  • Non-Indigenes: You are welcome, but you must aim for the Merit list.

2. The Cut-Off Mark Reality

  • General Cut-Off: PLASU officially sets a minimum cut-off of 160 or 170.

  • Real Targets:

    • Medicine/Law: You need 240+.

    • Nursing/Pharmacy: Aim for 220+.

    • Computer Science/Accounting: Aim for 180 – 190.

3. The Remedial Route

  • If you score below 160 in JAMB, do not lose hope. PLASU runs a Remedial Science Programme located in Jos (not Bokkos). If you pass the remedial exams, you are prioritised for admission into 100 Level Science courses.
