Important Admission Secrets for 2026/2027

To secure admission into FUDMA, you need to play by the rules. Here is the reality of their admission process:

1. JAMB Cut-Off Mark (The “180” Rule) While the general national cut-off might be lower, FUDMA has a tiered cut-off system:

• Tier 1 (180+): Law, Engineering, Nursing, Med Lab, Radiography. You cannot buy the Post-UTME form for these courses if you score below 180.

• Tier 2 (160+): Accounting, Comp Science, Mass Comm, Pol Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry.

• Tier 3 (150+): Most Agriculture, Education, and Arts courses.

2. O-Level Requirements

• Compulsory: Credit in English Language and Mathematics is non-negotiable.

• The “Physics” Trap: For all Engineering and Physical Science courses (including Computer Science and Architecture), you must have a Credit in Physics. Geography or Biology cannot replace Physics here.

3. Catchment Area & Merit FUDMA is a Federal University, so it admits students from all over Nigeria. However, admission into Law and Nursing is extremely fierce. If you are not from the catchment area (North-West), you need to score significantly higher (230+) to be safe on the Merit list.

Does FUDMA offer Medicine & Surgery (MBBS)? No. As of the 2026/2027 session, FUDMA does not offer MBBS. They offer Allied Health Sciences like Nursing, Radiography, and Medical Laboratory.
