ESUT Cut Off Mark 2026/2027

If you are aiming for ESUT for the 2026/2027 academic session, you are choosing a premier state university in the South-East known for its focus on technology and management sciences. ESUT is highly sought after, which means meeting the minimum score is often not enough for the top courses. We are here to provide you with the official admission stats for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.

ESUT JAMB Cut Off Mark for All Courses

The school management has officially set the ESUT JAMB cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 academic session at 160.

Important Reality Check:

  • The 160 Benchmark: This is the general entry score. If you scored 160, you are eligible to purchase the Post-UTME form for most faculties like Education, Agriculture, and Management Sciences.

  • The “Professional” Exception: For competitive courses—specifically Medicine & Surgery, Law, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Science, and Pharmacy—the official cut-off is 200. You cannot even buy the form for these courses if you scored below 200.

  • Competitive Reality: Even with 200, admission into Medicine or Law is not guaranteed. You generally need a score of 240+ and excellent O-Level grades to be safe on the merit list.

ESUT Departmental Cut-off Mark Targets

ESUT admission is conducted via an Online Screening method (Point-Based System) rather than a physical exam. This means your JAMB score and O’Level grades are calculated to give you an aggregate. Below are the Safe JAMB Scores you should aim for to be confident of admission.

Does ESUT Write Post UTME Exams?

No. ESUT typically adopts an Online Screening Method.

  • The Process: You will visit the portal (portal.esut.edu.ng) When the form is out, pay the screening fee (usually ₦2,000), and upload your credentials.

  • Criteria: The school grades you based on your JAMB score and your O’Level Result (WAEC/NECO).

  • Implication: Your O-Level result is critical. Having A1s and B2s in your core subjects boosts your chances significantly. If you have “Awaiting Result,” you must upload it to JAMB CAPS immediately after it is released to be considered.

Important Admission Tips

  1. First Choice: ESUT generally prioritizes candidates who chose them as their First Choice. If they are your Second Choice, it is advisable to do a Change of Institution on JAMB CAPS.

  2. O’Level Upload: You MUST upload your O’Level results to JAMB CAPS. Even if you have a JAMB score of 300, you will not be admitted if your O’Level is not on CAPS.

  3. Multiple Campuses: Be aware that Medical students (Clinical) often study at the Parklane location (Teaching Hospital), while Engineering and others are at the main Agbani campus.
