ABUAD Cut Off Mark 2026/2027
If you are aiming for ABUAD for the 2026/2027 academic session, you are choosing one of the few private universities in Nigeria that competes head-to-head with top federal universities in terms of prestige and discipline. Owned by the legal luminary Aare Afe Babalola, ABUAD is not a “pay as you go” degree mill; admission is competitive, especially for Medicine and Law. Below are the admission stats for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.
ABUAD JAMB Cut Off Mark for All Courses
The school management has officially set the ABUAD JAMB cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 academic session at 180.
Important Reality Check:
-
The 180 Benchmark: This is the minimum score required to access the application portal. If you scored 180 and above, you are eligible to register for screening for courses in the Faculties of Engineering, Sciences, Arts, and Social Sciences.
-
The “Medical” Exception: For the College of Medicine & Health Sciences, the minimum eligibility score is 200. You cannot even buy the form for Medicine or Nursing if you scored 199.
-
First Choice Policy: ABUAD is flexible. You do not need to have chosen them as your First Choice initially. You can apply first, and if admitted, you will be required to do a Change of Institution on JAMB CAPS to regularize your admission.
ABUAD Departmental Cut-off Mark Targets
While 180 qualifies you for general screening, the top-tier courses are highly contested. Below are the Safe JAMB Scores you should aim for.

Does ABUAD Write Post UTME Exams?
Yes.
Unlike many private universities that just do “document screening,” ABUAD typically conducts an Online Post-UTME Examination.
-
The Format: It is usually a virtual (online) examination that you can take from the comfort of your home, provided you have a laptop with a working webcam.
-
The Content: The questions cover English Language, Mathematics, and General Knowledge/Current Affairs.
-
Strict Proctoring: The system is monitored. If you attempt to cheat or open other tabs, the system may flag you.
-
Physical Interview: In some cases (especially for Medicine/Law scholarships), you might be invited for a physical interview.
Important Admission Tips
-
Apply Early: ABUAD admission is strictly on a “first-come, first-served” basis for qualified candidates. Once the quota for Nursing or Medicine is full, they stop admitting, even if you have 300 in JAMB.
-
Age Limit: ABUAD generally adheres to the minimum age of 16 years by October 1st of the admission year.
-
Scholarship: High-performing students (e.g., JAMB scores of 300+ or 5.0 CGPA) can qualify for the Aare Afe Babalola Scholarship, which can cover a significant portion of tuition.
