NDA Postgraduate Admission Requirement
To obtain the application form for the NDA School of Postgraduate Studies, you must meet specific requirements outlined below:
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
– Candidates must have passed English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to satisfy matriculation requirements.
– Graduates must possess at least a third-class honors degree from the Nigerian Defence Academy or any other recognized university.
– Individuals holding a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit from recognized institutions are eligible.
– Holders of other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University, may also apply.
2. Master’s Degree
– Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g., WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
– NDA graduates must have an approved first degree with at least a second-class honors (Lower Division).
– Candidates with a CGPA of 3.00 or higher are eligible, as well as those with a CGPA between 2.40 and 2.99 who have at least three years of post-graduation experience.
– Those who have obtained a third-class honors degree and have a minimum of five years of post-graduation experience can apply.
– Applicants must hold a Postgraduate Diploma from the Nigerian Defence Academy or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
– Candidates with unclassified degrees may apply if they have an average grade of C or above.
– A Higher National Diploma (minimum credit), along with a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) in relevant areas from the Nigerian Defence Academy, is also acceptable.
3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Master’s by Research Degrees
– Graduates must have obtained an approved first degree with at least a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the Nigerian Defence Academy or another recognized institution.
– A Second Class Honours Degree accompanied by substantial relevant industrial experience is required.
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
– Graduates should hold a Master’s Degree relevant to their proposed areas of study from the Nigerian Defence Academy.
– Graduates from other recognized universities must have a Master’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
– Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.
How to Apply for NDA Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025
Register Your Account (Step 1)
1. To begin the process, click here or follow this link: https://spgs.nda.edu.ng/register.
2. Please provide your name, email address, and password.
3. Check your email inbox for a verification link sent to you and click on it to activate your account.
4. Note: You will not be able to proceed until you have verified your email.
Make Your Payment (Step 2)
1. Log in to your application portal using the email and password you created in Step 1.
2. Click on “Payments.”
3. You will be redirected to the payment page, where you can complete your payment.
4. Use any of the available payment options: “Card” or “Bank Transfer,” to finalize the payment process.
5. After completing the payment, you will be redirected back to the portal.
6. Click on “Payments” again, and you will see your receipt.
Update Your Profile (Step 3)
1. Log in to your application portal using your email and password.
2. Click on “Profile.”
3. Click on “Bio-data.”
4. Provide your “Date of Birth,” “Phone Number,” “Gender,” “Marital Status,” and upload your “Passport Photograph.”
5. Click on “Submit Biodata.”
6. Next, click on “Contact Details.”
7. Provide your contact address and permanent home address.
8. Click on “Save Contact Details.”
9. Next, click on “Update Personal Details.”
10. Provide your full name, Nationality, State, Local Government Area, and Hometown.
11. Click on “Save Personal Details.”
Choose Your Preferred Programme (Step 4)
1. To check available courses, click here.
2. Log in to your application portal using your email and password.
3. Click on “Academics.”
4. Next, click on “Select Programme.”
5. Select your faculty, department, and program.
6. If applicable, select the appropriate service records (This section is for serving Military Personnel only); ignore if you are not one.
7. Click on “Save Programme Details.”
Provide O’Level Result Details (Step 5)
1. Click on “Academics.”
2. Click on “Add O’Level Result.”
3. Select “Exam Body,” “Examination Type,” and “Examination Year.”
4. Choose sitting “First” or “Second” (Note: you can only upload two sittings).
5. Provide your grade for “English Language” and “Mathematics.”
6. Provide three other relevant subjects and their grades.
7. Click on “Submit O’Level Result.”
8. Repeat steps (2) to (7) to upload your second sitting (remember to choose “Second Sitting”).
Add O’Level Verification Cards (Step 6)
1. You are required to upload an O-Level verification card for each sitting you have uploaded.
2. Click on “Academics.”
3. Click on “Add Verification Cards.”
4. Specify the exam details, card pin, and card serial number.
5. Choose the sitting—“First” or “Second.”
6. Click on “Submit Verification Card.”
7. Follow the above process to submit the verification card for the “Second” sitting.
Add Referees (Step 7)
1. You need a minimum of two referees.
2. Click on “Referee.”
3. Provide the referee’s name.
4. Provide the referee’s valid email address.
5. Note: Your referee will receive an email with a link to the online referee form, which will take only two minutes to complete.
6. Click on “Submit Confidential Referee.”
7. Follow the same process to add a second referee.
8. Note: You can delete and add another referee as long as none of your nominated referees have responded yet.
9. You will be able to check if they have responded or not on the same page below.
Provide Your Academic Qualifications (Step 8)
1. Click on “Qualifications.”
2. Next, click on “School.”
3. Provide “Certificate Type,” “Awarding Institution,” “Qualification Obtained,” “Class,” and “Year Obtained.”
4. Click on “Save.”
5. Follow the above steps to add all your academic qualifications.
Provide Your Professional Qualifications (Step 9)
1. Click on “Qualifications.”
2. Next, click on “Professional.”
3. Provide “Certificate Type,” “Awarding Institution,” “Qualification Obtained,” “Certificate Number,” “Issue Date,” and “Expiry Date.”
4. Click on “Save.”
5. Follow the above steps to add all your professional qualifications.
Preview Your Application Form (Step 10)
1. Note: You will not be allowed to preview your application form until you have provided the following:
– You have made the payment.
– You have filled out all sections in the Profile.
– You have uploaded at least one O-Level sitting.
– You have provided O-Level verification cards for all uploaded O-Level exam sittings.
– You have provided at least two referees, and all of them have responded (please remove and add other referees as necessary).
– You have provided at least two academic qualifications.
– You have provided any necessary uploads.
2. After previewing, you can go back to edit any sections that contain errors.
Submit Your Form (Step 11)
1. To submit your form, click on “Submit Form.”
2. Follow the instructions to complete the submission process.
