FUTO Postgraduate Admission Requirement
To qualify for admission to the postgraduate program at this university, candidates must have at least five O-Level credit passes, which must include English Language and Mathematics, along with three relevant subjects. These qualifications should be obtained in no more than two sittings, as specified by the chosen department.
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD): To be eligible for admission to the PGD program, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least a third-class honors from FUTO or any other recognized university. Additionally, holders of a Higher National Diploma (HND) with an upper credit or above in relevant fields, as well as those with professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, FIST, FIMT, FMILT, and FNIIS, may also qualify for admission.
Master’s Degree Programmes (M.Sc, M.Eng, M.Tech., MBA, MPH):
To be eligible for admission to the Master’s Degree program, candidates must:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least a second-class honours (lower division) in relevant fields from FUTO or any other recognized university.
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree with third class honors and a PGD with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 on a 5-point scale or 3.00 on a 4-point scale in relevant fields from FUTO or any other recognized university.
Any other qualifications that the University Senate may recognize or approve from time to time.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.):
The Doctor of Philosophy degree program requires candidates to have a Master’s Degree with a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale, or 3.00 on a 4-point scale, in relevant fields from FUTO or any other recognized university.
Any additional qualifications that the University Senate may recognize or approve from time to time.
