FUGUS Postgraduate Admission Requirement

To obtain the application form for the FUGUS School of Postgraduate Studies, candidates must meet specific requirements outlined below:

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
– Candidates must have passed English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to fulfill matriculation requirements.
– Graduates must have earned at least a third-class honors degree from Federal University Gusau or any other recognized university.
– Individuals holding a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are also eligible.
– Holders of any other qualifications, combined with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the university, may apply.

2. Master’s Degree
– Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
– Graduates from FUGUS with an approved first degree and a minimum of a Second Class Honours (Lower Division) are eligible.
– Graduates with a CGPA of 3.00 or higher, or those with a CGPA between 2.40 and 2.99 who have at least three years of post-graduate experience, can apply.
– Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and possess at least five years of post-graduation experience are also eligible.
– Applicants must hold a Postgraduate Diploma from Federal University Gusau or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
– Candidates with unclassified degrees but an average grade of C or above may apply.
– A Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from recognized institutions is required, along with a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Federal University Gusau in relevant areas.

3. Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Master’s by Research Degrees
– Graduates must have obtained an approved first degree with at least a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Federal University Gusau or other recognized institutions.
– A Second Class Honours degree combined with substantial relevant industrial experience is required.

4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
