Estimated FUTMINNA School Fees for 2026/2027 Session

FUTMINNA has a “Tuition-Free” policy for undergraduate students, meaning that you do not pay for tuition itself. However, you are required to pay for University Charges, which cover registration, exams, library, medical services, etc., as well as Faculty Charges.

The fees vary significantly depending on your course of study.

1. General Courses (Engineering, Sciences, Agriculture, etc.)

  • New Students (Freshers): N121,000 (University Charges) + Faculty Charges (~N5,000 – N10,000)

  • Returning Students (200L – 500L): N106,000

  • Final Year Students: N104,000

2. Medicine & Surgery (MBBS)

  • New Students (Freshers): N397,500 (Total Package)

    • Breakdown: University Charges (N277,500) + Faculty/Professional Charges (N120,000).

  • Returning Students: Expect slightly lower fees (approx. N250,000 – N300,000) as some one-time charges are removed.

3. Pharmacy, Nursing & Medical Lab Science

  • New Students (Freshers): N377,500 (Total Package)

Other Compulsory Fees (One-Time Payments)

Along with the sessional school fees, newly admitted students are required to pay an Acceptance Fee.

FUTMINNA Acceptance Fee

This fee confirms your admission and is non-refundable.

  • Estimated Amount: N40,000

  • Important Note: The Acceptance Fee is NOT included in the NELFUND Student Loan. It is categorized as an “Other Optional Charge” in the official template. This means that, despite being a mandatory requirement for admission clearance, it is considered an “out-of-pocket” expense for the student.

    Hostel Accommodation Fees

Living on campus at the Gidan Kwano (Main) Campus or Bosso Campus is optional. Hostels are allocated through an online booking system on a first-come, first-served basis.

How to Pay FUTMINNA School Fees Online

Payments should be made exclusively through the university’s e-Portal using the Remita platform. Do not give cash to any individual.

  1. Log in to the Portal:

    • Visit eportal.futminna.edu.ng.

    • Freshers: Login with your JAMB Registration Number.

    • Returning Students: Log in with your Matriculation Number.

  2. Navigate to Payments:

    • On your dashboard, look for “Student Charges” or “School Fees”.

    • Select the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

  3. Generate Invoice:

    • Click to generate a payment invoice. This will create a unique Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number.

  4. Make Payment:

    • Online: To make a payment using your debit card (MasterCard, Visa, or Verve), please click on “Pay Now.”

    • Bank: Print the invoice and take the RRR code to a commercial bank branch to make a cash payment.

  5. Confirm & Print:

    • After making your payment, please log back into the portal to verify the transaction.

    • Print your school fees receipt and keep it in a safe place. You will need it for course registration and ID card data capture.

Payment Deadline & Late Registration

  • Normal Registration: Typically, it lasts for 3 to 4 weeks after it resumes, which usually occurs in January or February.

  • NELFUND Applicants: If you are applying for a student loan, make sure to select the correct option on the portal to avoid paying the fees that the loan covers (Tuition/Service Charges). However, you will still need to pay the Acceptance Fee yourself.
