EBSU Cut Off Mark 2026/2027
If you are aiming for Ebonyi State University (EBSU)—located in the developing city of Abakaliki—you are choosing a state university that has massively improved its infrastructure and academic standards in recent years. EBSU is known for its Multi-Campus System (Permanent Site, CAS, and Presco) and its highly rated Law and Medical faculties. Below are the admission stats for the 2026/2027 academic year.
EBSU JAMB Cut Off Mark for All Courses
The school management has officially set the EBSU JAMB cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 academic session at 140.
Important Reality Check:
-
The 140 Benchmark: This is the minimum score required to purchase the Post-UTME form. If you score 140, you are eligible to register for screening for most courses in the Faculties of Agriculture, Education, and some Sciences.
-
The “Professional” Benchmark: Do not be deceived; a score of 140 will NOT get you into competitive courses. For Medicine, Law, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science, the competition is very high. You generally need a score of 230 to 250+ to stand a realistic chance on the merit list.
-
First Choice Policy: EBSU prefers candidates who chose them as their First Choice. If they are your Second Choice, it is safer to change it to First Choice on JAMB CAPS to avoid disqualification.

No. In recent years, EBSU has adopted an Online Screening Method (Point-Based System).
-
Register Online: You buy the form online (ebsu.edu.ng) for ₦2,000.
-
Upload Results: You enter your JAMB Registration Number and upload your O’Level Result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
-
Grading: The portal calculates your average score based on your JAMB score and the number of A1s, B2s, etc., you have in your O’Levels.

O’Level is King: Since there is no exam, your O’Level result is your greatest asset. A student with 5 As has a massive advantage over a student with 5 Cs, even if they have the same JAMB score.
-
Upload to CAPS: You MUST upload your O-Level results to JAMB CAPS. EBSU will not admit any candidate with “Awaiting Result” status on CAPS.
-
Know Your Campus:
-
Permanent Site (Ezzamgbo): Main hub (Social Sciences, Management, Arts).
-
CAS Campus: Agriculture and Natural Resources.
-
Presco Campus: Health Sciences and Law (though movements to Perm site occur, verify specifically for your year).
-
Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions concerning the EBSU portal, acceptance fee payment, or the specific location of the campuses, as our support team is always on standby to attend to you.
