Important Admission Secrets for 2026/2027

To secure admission into BOSU, you need to navigate their specific requirements:

1. The Cut-Off Mark Strategy

  • General Cut-Off: BOSU is very student-friendly. They often set a minimum cut-off of 140 or 150.

  • The “Catchment” Advantage: If you are a Borno State Indigene, you are almost guaranteed admission if you meet the minimum requirements.

  • Non-Indigenes: You are very welcome. The university is actively recruiting students from other states to boost its cosmopolitan status.

2. The Remedial Advantage

  • If you scored 130 or below in JAMB, do not sit at home. Buy the BOSU Remedial Form.

  • Success Rate: Over 80% of remedial students get admitted into degree programmes the following year. It is the safest “backdoor” into the university.

3. Direct Entry (DE)

  • BOSU accepts NCE, ND (National Diploma), and IJMB.

  • IJMB: If you have 6 points and above in IJMB, you are good to go for 200 Level admission.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
