Important Admission Secrets for 2026/2027
To secure admission into UNIMED Ondo, you need to navigate their specific rules:
1. The “One Sitting” Rule
-
For Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry, UNIMED generally requires your O’Level results (WAEC/NECO) in ONE SITTING.
-
For other courses like Physiology or Science, two sittings are usually accepted.
2. The Cut-Off Mark Hierarchy
-
Medicine/Dentistry: You need a JAMB score of 250+ to be safe (Official cut-off might be 200, but admission is competitive).
-
Nursing/Pharmacy/Radiography: Aim for 220 – 230+.
-
Physiotherapy/Med Lab: Aim for 200+.
-
Sciences (Microbiology, etc.): 160 – 180 is often sufficient.
3. No Law, No Arts
-
Do not be confused by the “University” in the name. UNIMED does not offer Law (LL.B) at the undergraduate level. They have a “Health Law” focus at the postgraduate level, but you cannot go there to become a lawyer.
