Official List of Courses Offered in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU): Are you planning to study at the “Umudike Campus”? MOUAU is one of the three specialized Universities of Agriculture in Nigeria. This means the university is federal, well-funded, and focused strictly on science, technology, and agriculture. Important Admission Secrets for 2026/2027

To secure admission into MOUAU, you need to play by the rules. Here is the reality of their admission process:

1. The “Cut-Off” Mark Reality

  • General Cut-Off: MOUAU is very student-friendly. They often accept 140 as the general cut-off mark.

  • Competitive Courses: However, for Computer Science, Accounting, and Civil Engineering, a score of 140 will rarely get you admitted on Merit. Aim for 180 – 200+ for these courses.

  • Veterinary Medicine: You need 200+ to be safe.

2. O-Level Requirements

  • Compulsory: You need 5 Credit passes in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics.

  • Two Sittings: MOUAU accepts two sittings for all courses.

  • The “Science” Rule: Because it is a University of Agriculture, almost every course (except some Management/Education courses) requires Chemistry and Physics in O-Level. Even for Agricultural Economics, a pass or credit in Chemistry is often required.

3. Direct Entry (DE)

  • MOUAU accepts ND (Upper Credit) and HND (Lower Credit) for Direct Entry into 200 Level or 300 Level.

  • NCE is accepted for Education courses.
