MOUAU Postgraduate Admission Requirement

To obtain the application form for the MOUAU School of Postgraduate Studies, candidates must meet specific requirements outlined below:

 1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
– Candidates must have passed English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
– Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, or any other recognized university are eligible.
– Individuals holding a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions may apply.
– Holders of other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the university, are also eligible.

2. Master’s Degree
– Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g., WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
– MOUAU graduates with a first degree with Second Class Honours (Lower Division) are eligible.
– Those with a CGPA of 3.00 or higher, or a CGPA between 2.40 and 2.99 combined with three years of post-graduation experience, can apply.
– Candidates who have a third-class honors degree and at least five years of post-graduation experience are also eligible.
– Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike or any recognized institution, with at least a pass at credit level.
– Candidates with unclassified degrees but an average grade of C or above may also apply.
– Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from recognized institutions and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike in relevant areas.

3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Master’s by Research Degrees
– Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, or other recognized institutions are eligible.
– A Second Class Honours Degree, along with significant relevant industrial experience, is required.

4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
– Graduates must have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to their proposed areas of study from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.
– Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale are also eligible.
– Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.

Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike Postgraduate Form 2025/2026

To register for the MOUAU postgraduate course for the 2025/2026 academic session, one needs to first meet the respective entry requirement for the intended course. Upon confirmation of eligibility, the candidates should obtain the admission form, which is non-refundable and costs N25,000. How to Apply for MOUAU Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026

The candidates interested should visit the university website (www.mouau.edu.ng) and click on the “Postgraduate Application” button. A two-stage application process will be opened. The candidates must read the guidelines thoroughly and follow the procedures to submit applications.

A processing fee of twenty-five thousand Naira only (N25,000.00) is to be paid to the university through the Remita platform. Candidates are to return to www.mouau.edu.ng after a successful payment and follow the second stage link to complete the application process.

On completing the online application form, the applicants will be able to print the Transcript Application Label, which will be displayed on the screen. Applicants are required to send this label to the institution where they have graduated with their qualifying degree(s). The completed application forms, along with all the documents, are to be placed in the PG File, which can be obtained at PG Room F2.
