FUPRE Postgraduate Admission Requirements

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

•    – Candidates must have passed English and Mathematics at the O’ Level (e.g., WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
•    – Graduates with at least a third-class honors degree from the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun or any recognized university are eligible.

•    – Applicants with a Third Class honors degree and at least five years of post-graduation experience are also eligible.
•    – A Postgraduate Diploma from the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun or any recognized institution, with at least a pass at the credit level, is required.
•    – Candidates whose degrees are unclassified but maintain an average grade of C or above can apply.
•    – Holders of a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from recognized institutions, along with a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at the credit level) from FUPRE in relevant areas are also eligible.

3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Master’s by Research Degrees**
