UNIBEN Post UTME Form 2025/2026: The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2025/2026 Academic Session is set to occur in October 2025. This important event will take place at designated centers within the Ugbowo Campus of the University, providing a convenient and accessible location for all candidates.
This year, the screening will utilize the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the assessment process. Candidates should prepare to arrive at the designated screening centers at least one hour before their scheduled examination time. This early arrival will allow for the necessary check-in procedures and ensure that all candidates are seated and ready before the testing begins.
Detailed instructions regarding specific dates and times, as well as information on required identification and materials for the screening, will be provided to candidates in advance. All applicants must stay informed and prepared for this significant step in their academic journey at UNIBEN.
Candidates Eligible for UNIBEN Post UTME Screening 2025/2026
Candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
- Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2025/2026 UTME Admission, chose the University of Benin as their First Choice, and scored 200 or above are eligible for this Screening Exercise.
NOTE THAT CANDIDATES AWAITING RESULTS CAN GO AHEAD TO APPLY FOR SCREENING
- To be eligible, candidates must obtain at least five (5) credit passes in the GCE O-Level, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent. These subjects must include English Language and, for courses that require Mathematics, a credit in Mathematics as well. Additionally, candidates must have credit passes in three other relevant subjects (or four if Mathematics is excluded), and this must be achieved in no more than two sittings.
How to Apply for UNIBEN Post UTME Form 2025/2026
- To access the portal, please visit www.uniben.edu. Once there, click on “Student Portal,” and then select the “WAEUP PORTAL.”
- Click on “Applicants” and then select “UNIBEN Admission Screening 2025/2026.”
- To continue, click on ‘Register for application’ at the top left of the page.
- Enter your surname exactly as it appears on the JAMB registration slip, along with your JAMB registration number. Your ID and password will then be displayed in the browser.
- To log in, visit waeup.uniben.edu and click on ‘Login’ located at the top right corner of the homepage.
- Please enter your username and password to log in.
- To begin the application process, click on ‘Application record’ and provide all necessary information.
- To pay for the application, click on “Add Online Payment Ticket” at the bottom of the page. Then, select “Pay with Remita” located in the top left corner of the page. Follow the instructions to pay the application fee of N2,000.00 using a valid ATM-enabled card from any commercial bank in Nigeria.
- Review and confirm your information before submitting your application online. No corrections will be accepted after the closing date.
- Log back online on the specified date to print your acknowledgment slip, which includes your specific screening schedule.

- To submit your application and print out the acknowledgment slip, visit the University of Benin website at uniben.edu.ng. This slip will include your specific screening schedule.
- Candidates who are awaiting their results are advised to obtain and upload them on the University of Benin website. This will update their status immediately and allow them to be considered in the e-screening exercise conducted by the school.
- Please remember that the Screening Exercise is scheduled according to the slip you printed out after your online registration. This test slip will indicate the date, time, and venue of your screening.
